Plimouth Plantation

For "school" we have been studying the early American settlers and the pilgrims. We were so excited to go to Plimouth Plantation last week. The kids had so much fun and we sure learned a lot while we were there. The people at Plimouth act in character and it is so fun to talk to them. While we were there we got to see a women roasting a pig on a spit(?sp?), a man fix a roof of one of the houses, men preparing beems for a new house, animals and many other things. We also go to see a Wampanoag Village and watch a man who had very little clothing work on making a canoe, and women cooking shellfish soup of some sort. If you haven't been there we think you should go sometime!

What a fun experience! We are thinking about visiting Jamestown here in VA soon (it's about an hour away). Not quite Plymouth Rock, but close! :) Happy Thanksgiving!
