Grandpa Carl was such a special person. He always had such a great garden and the best corn around. He was always giving hugs and liked to tease all the kids. He had a such a great testimony and lived a Christ like life. He was always helping someone and doing things for others. He could always grow the best watermellon and corn. He was always telling stories and giving advice from things he had learned throughout the years. He wasn't afraid to tell you what he thought. I feel so blessed to have had a chance to get to know him. I am so thankful that I was blessed to be part of his family. I love you Granpa!

Hey Shaunie. I miss you. I hope the funeral went well today and that you are enjoying being with all of your family. Please give your mom and dad a hug for me and Jason. I'm glad you can be there with everyone--I just wish it was for a happier time! Your grandma and grandpa are such a beautiful couple!
