Yesterday, Amelia stepped on a sharp piece of a broken light bulb and it stuck in her foot. Lets go back to the day before that. Auliver and Annabelle were "playing a game" throwing shoes from the top of one bunkbed to the other when the shoe hit the light and shattered the bulb. We picked up the big pieces and vacuumed up everything else. The next morning we were getting ready to go to the dentist when Ameila ran (or rather hobbled) into my room yelling for a band-aid. When I looked at her foot blood was dripping pretty fast onto the floor. I tried to get the glass out with a pair of tweesers, but it wouldn't come out (could have had something to do with the fact that Amelia wouldn't hold still!). This is when I called Arne, loaded the kids into the van and headed to the hospital for what I like to call "the emergency drive-thru". This is how it works.....Arne meets us at the front entrance with the needed supplies We park the car and Dr. Dad uses his magic (tweezers) while Amelia is buckled in and I hold her foot. Magically it doesn't take very long and Amelia is a lot happier! I believe this is our 3rd trip to the "emergency drive-thru"!

I would like an Emergency Drive-Thru out here please! Poor Amelia!! I hope he got all the glass so her foot isn't like my dad's thumb that STILL has a chunk of glass in it. Next time you're down there you'll have to have him show the kids, I remember LOVING it when I was little.
Hey, that sounds like what we've done a couple of times with our crew. Those injuries and ear infections can sneek up on you.
oh so funny...we have yet to do a emergency drive- thru thank goodness :)
I hope Amelia's foot is healing well. That would be cool to have an emergency drive thru at your disposal.
How funny! We have done the emergency drive-thru thing, too, only we had to go in 'cause staples were involved. But Ben did meet us down there & got us right in. We do enjoy the perks of residency! :) Hope Amelia is recovering well.
